Our mission

The highest standard of comfort and safety, on every trip we run.

Mountain Valley Care is locally based and built around one idea: a ride to care should never be the hard part. We are patient-focused, customer-centered, and caregiver inspired.

What we transport for

Scheduled and unscheduled trips, booked the same way.

Standing dialysis runs, one-off specialist visits, discharges that come up at 11pm. Same number, same dispatch team.

Doctor's appointments

Primary care, specialists, imaging, post-op follow-ups. Booked ahead or same day, with pickup timed to the appointment, not the traffic.

Dialysis treatment

Recurring schedules held on file. The same route, the same expectations, three times a week — with a return leg that is already planned before treatment ends.

Behavioral health

Drivers trained in de-escalation, seizures, and mental illness awareness. Quiet, unhurried transport to counseling, group, and treatment programs.

Facility transfers & discharges

Hospital to skilled nursing, facility to home, and back again. We coordinate with the floor so the unit arrives when the patient is actually ready.

Long-distance & rural runs

Reservation communities and rural Arizona included. Units are staged across the state so a two-hour drive is a route, not an exception.

Insurance coordination

Our billing team checks coverage, submits pre-authorization, and prepares documentation. Many members have transportation benefits they do not know about.

How a trip is arranged

Three steps, and only the first one is yours.

No answering service. No phone tree. Day or night, the person who picks up is the person who arranges the ride.

1

You call

Our staff listens, answers your questions, and walks you through the process. We tailor the trip to the specific needs of the patient — mobility, equipment, timing, and who is riding along.

2

We coordinate

Every detail is arranged on our side. We speak directly with the health provider and the insurance company, confirm authorization, and assign the right unit and driver to the run.

3

We transport

A certified driver arrives on time in the appropriate vehicle, transports safely, and stays with the patient through the handoff at the other end.

The fleet

The right unit is most of the job.

Spacious, smoke-free, climate-controlled, and inspected before and after every shift. A mechanic is on call 24 hours a day.

Fleet standards and maintenance

Insurance

Most insurance is accepted.

Coverage is based on medical necessity and your health plan. We work directly with your provider, check the policy, and in most cases submit the pre-authorization request ourselves.

  • Benefit and eligibility check before the trip is booked
  • Pre-authorization requests submitted on your behalf
  • Supporting documentation prepared by our billing team
  • Private pay and facility contracts also welcome

Safety

Safety is the first standard, not the last check.

Every driver is background checked with a clean motor vehicle record, and every unit is inspected at the start and end of a shift.

  • CPR and first aid certified drivers
  • HIPAA, policy, and procedure training
  • Seizure and mental illness response training
  • Safe vehicle operation and defensive driving
  • Uniformed staff in smoke-free vehicles

Rapid response center

Call and the rest is arranged for you.
